The problem

UPSC Mains is written by hand, and aspirants improve by writing answers and getting them checked. Good evaluation depends on a mentor's time, so most answers never get detailed feedback. RiseWithJeet evaluates handwritten answers instantly, so aspirants can practise every day.

How an answer gets graded

1

Upload

The aspirant photographs a handwritten answer.

2

Read

OCR turns the handwriting into text.

3

Retrieve

Relevant reference material is pulled from a vector store.

4

Grade

The answer is scored against that material.

5

Feedback

The aspirant sees what to fix in the next answer.

The hard part:scores you can trust

Language models are generous graders. A score that drifts or inflates is worse than no score, so we did not leave the number to the model alone.

Score caps

Retrieved reference anchors set a hard ceiling on the score, calculated in code.

Tiered OCR data

Handwriting samples sorted into gold, silver and bronze tiers by quality.

Model fallback

Azure OpenAI first, with Gemini as a fallback so grading keeps running.
